What Do You Do? Work/School Thread

All the other forums have one of these, so I figured it would do just as well here.

I'm an eighth grade student at the moment. I take eight classes; Algebra II, PE, American History, Spanish II, Finance/Macroeconomics, Concert Band, Laguage Arts, and Chemistry.

What about you?

You have a real different system and subjects.

I'm in last year of sixth form year 13 studying Media, Sociology and Photography. I really do need to get a job. I need to decide what to study next year, theres just so much choice Makes you see how easy being in education is. Scary that everything will be over in 11 weeks. I've been at that school for 7 years It's wierd.

That's how I was when I graduated from HS...like wtf no wai that is all over!!! Now I'm like pfft HS, nowai!!!

What I do...I'm freshman at the University of Illinios at Urbana. My major is in creative writing and most likely I'll be double majoring in Antropology. I dabble in a little of everything though: writing, insanity, forum posting, being awesome, loving WT.

Well i'm in my second year of sixth form year 12, and i'm studying History, Photography and Health and Social:) It's weird to think that there's only this and next year left of school, then i'm hopefully off to Uni.

I'm a Junior in College at Limestone College. My major is History. I am currently taking: Jeffersonian and Jacksonian America, US History Part 2, Greek & Roman History, Shakespeare, & Creative Writing. I work on campus as an assistant to the Director of Academic Info. I will graduate in December 2010 and then it's off to graduate school. I plan to do Russian and East European Studies, with a focus on Romania, paired with History and go on to get my PhD. I want to either teach college or do historical work with like a museum or historical society.

My plans changed.... again. It turns out I will be going to a four-year college in the fall after all, to major in Russian and minor in Women's Studies(finally decided). It will be the second college attempt for me after a very messy start.

Oh I'm a senior at Purdue University. I am studying computer graphics technology, focusing in print design and video editing/compositing. I have a part time job also, nothing exciting. I also consider my band a professional endeavor, in that I put a lot of work into it and hope that it will amount to something .

I will be graduating in December so I am starting my job search soon.

Grade 9 student ('tis still considered Junior High...).
I'm taking Math, Science, Humanities (Kinda like English and Social put together...), Art and Robotics.
MAN. School sucks.

I'm a tenth grader at a lovely little internet school -- three rooms of computers and juvenile delinquents -- where I am one of the three students that are actually where they're supposed to be credit-wise. Whoohoo.

I'm taking Algebra II, Geometry, Chemistry II, Government, English II, English III, Sociology, Anatomy and Physiology, Psychology, and Humanities.

The great thing about school on the internet is that you can take like 12 classes in a semester.

Well, I'm in my first year of high school. Uhm, we start Hugh school at the age of 12/13. We have about 18 lessons at school and each year has about 4 to 5 classes. In each class we have more than 15 people. I'm 19th out of the 20 kids in my class.

Last year of Sixth Form studing History and business (3 weeks to go) I currantly have a part time job at Travis Perkins Trading Company, after sixth form i have a gap year beofre going to study History and Archeology at Kent Canterbury Uni

I'm in my first year of uni, studying Chemistry.

Besides that I give home-ed (is that the right phrase? lol) to students in high school who have trouble with math/science.

I'm in last year of gyumnasium .and I want to follow a bilingual/intensive english high school

Well I offically left Sixth Form yesterday and will be doing a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design next year, specialising in Photography

I feel so normal after reading what you guys are studying!

I'm currently in a Community College, taking my GE classes. I then plan to transfer to a UC or CSU down south (LA/San Diego/Long Beach region). I'm on vacations right now, but last 2 semesters I took Pre-Calculus, Philosophy, Psychology, Symbolic Logic and Reasoning, Symphonic Band, Advanced Weight Training, Intro to Computer Science, English One-O-Something, and took a Pharmacy Technician Program. I'm kind of indecisive on what I want to become though, I was thinking of becoming a pharmacist, but I'm loosing interest on that, so maybe a Computer programmer, and if that doesn't work, then maybe something on Criminal Justice but I have a feeling I'll join the Marines (US Military). I actually kind of really want to. So yeah...

I'm a student at UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), I'm in UNAM's high school, Escuela Nacional Preparatoria Plantel 9 "Pedro de Alba", I'm in my second year there, I'm in the class 561. I take 12 classes: Maths V (which is Analitic Geometry), Biology IV, Artistic Education V (Theatre), P.E. V, Anatomy/Physiology I, Ethics, Graeco-Latin Etimologyes, Mexico's History II, French I, Universal Literature I, Educative Orientation V and Chemistry III.

When I enter to college, I'll study International Relations, I plan to study my major at FES Acatlan (Also from UNAM).

My second career will be Graphic Design

And my third will be Classic Literature (Greek and Latin)/ English Literature

I'm a tenth grader in a school of about 120 kids, 8 kids in my 10th grade class. Very small school, been there for all the years of my life, about 11 now
I'm currently taking English B10, Math FPC 10, Science 9, Social Studies 9, Information Processing 10 (basically computer stuff), Home Economics 10, Wellness 10 (physical education), and Visual Art 30.
I don't know what I'll do after high school, but it will be something to do with music!!

I'm currently waiting for high school to end so I can move off to university. I got my acceptances already, so now I'm trying to decide between Human Rights at Carleton University and a General BA at the University of Ottawa. UO has a Visual Arts BFA program that I'd like to get into, so if I go there, my plan is to take a bunch of studio courses and build up a portfolio so I can switch streams in my second year. Unless something else catches my eye while doing general courses, which is entirely possible... Also interested in the School of Toronto Dance Theatre, but I don't feel ready to audition this year, so we'll see where that goes...

tl;dr: Starting university soon and I really don't know where my life is going. Doing it one step at a time.

I'm an eleventh grader at a really large high school in rural Alberta. And I really can't wait to move on from HS.
I'm taking Web Design 20, Biology 20, Social 20 and Art 20 in this term. Which is pretty easy, and should be fun enough.
A probably after HS I'm going to get into dental hygiene.
