I just think they're using the picture from the Theatre Tour because they have no new promo pics and it kind of promotes the acoustic album as well.

But that is a great picture anyway.
It might not even be a "new" song...maybe something they have been working on for awhile now, but never fit anywhere and now they wanted to release something since it has been awhile and they pulled this up...
If I had my guess at what they mean by "shocking" I'd say something politically themed...that isn't really heavy...maybe more folk-ish....or perhaps something really heavy.
