| Yeah, I think I remember those too. Guess I wasn't paying close enough attention. But it was really noticeable in The Cross, which is probably why it only appeared to me then Heh. Yeah, I am. =\ I blame my father. He started all this bull. I understand how some, or even most people would dislike them. And I do see your point about the young 'uns. And I'll leave it at that, 'cause I feel no need to argue. It bothers some, doesn't others. I just related so closely to the girl in the visuals that...I dunno. It almost felt like I was watching myself (even though she was blond, etc.). And, I think that our pasts make us who we are, regardless of how messy and undesirable they are. If the things that have happened to me hadn't, I wouldn't be who I am today. So I think things that remind me of my past (such as TC visuals) are not horrific, but beautiful in a way. Does that sound weird? | |

| I do see how it could bring back bad memories and feeling but I think maybe it is used as like a help for people so they can relate to it and try to heal. I mean thats what most songs do for people they help them heal over things. I know it seems a little shocking and maybe unnecessary but I kind of see it as a way for people to heal. Like for me Somewhere has helped me heal no matter how much it upsets me. Although I dont think they'd use a visual for my interpretation Ok I keep saying heal. It doesnt even look like I spelt it right now I dont think they meant it to be upsetting though. It's just a very powerful piece of footage. | |

| I was shocked when I first saw the footage, but it doesn't really bother me, even though I'm also one of "those people." I think maybe they are just doing it to bring awareness to the subject? I really don't think they are saying it's okay to cut yourself. | |

| Maybe. I think it's weird in a way that we keep talking about these visualistions, and yet the Frozen video isn't that much of a topic anymore. | |

| Well, a lot of people can connect to Frozen's video as well...but it's not as..visual, I guess. Gory? Something like that. The visuals for The Cross were pretty graphic, as are Frozen's...but Frozen's music video doesn't show any blood, and it was really obviously bringing awareness to the subject. | |

| Well Frozens video really should be more shocking but as you said Andy The Cross's visuals are more gory. I suppose it helped that Frozen was for charity so people werent as shocked. Also Frozen only implies the violence and abuse really whereas The Cross was blatent and in your face. | |

| True....
This song still has a very personal meaning for me, though. I don't see it as a religious song, but instead as a song about someone who has been ignored or hurt by someone close to them.

| WT songs are always the best way to find strength or help. Somebody hurt me alot so The Cross really relates to me. 'I keep wondering why I’m still calling your name through my tears Why have you waited to embrace me my dear? Cold is your silence, denying what is real I’m still wondering why I’m still calling your name my dear' Plus the 'ah' s are just | |

| This song should be worshipped on a daily basis. Anyhow, I'm listening to the one in BS right now, I think I like The Cross just as much live as on the CD. And I've been picking apart the lyrics more, trying to pick out what's it about. Even after that it's still really open-ended. | |

| The Cross was the first song from THoE that got my attention more. Some weeks ago I was listening to it very often, also because of the relation to the lyrics. Now I think I just over-listened this song a bit. But generally, it's a very addictive song. | |

I always felt that they were extremely bitter/sarcastic. Me, too, like someone who is laughing mockingly at someone who has hurt them. I think the "Why have you waited to embrace me, my dear? Cold is your silence, denying what is real" is the part with the most personal meaning to me. But I've found I have a hard time lately watching the BS performance.

| Yeah in an interview someone where it was mentioned that the 'ah's were like mocking and laughing at someone. Which really changes the meaning of the lyrics. It's like they hurt you and betrayed you, but now you're stronger you can get your revenge.
Well not revenge, just growing from it and being better. I cant explain it without going fully into it's meaning for me.

| I never felt the 'ah's this way... Actually it didn't mean anything special to me. Now, what you all said about it... it may change the meaning of the lyrcis to me. | |

| I think the lyrics still hold the same meaning for me. But now it's looking back and laughing at the person that hurt you. Because you are stronger and better than they can ever be. So you're just laughing at how pathetic they are. I dunno still holds the same for me, just changed now I moved on from the situation. I sound so cryptic | |

| Hm. That actually makes sense. I've always love the 'ah's, but I never thought of it like that. I've always seen The Cross as a really fucking painful song, because that's what it's always been to me. To me, it's just asking why. Why the hell did you do this to me?
I guess that's why I really can't make myself see it the way it was probably meant to sound. It just sounds painful to me.
You can purify it all, answer my call just sounds like a cry out to me.

| I see it the same as you Andy that it's a really painful song. But now looking back you can kind of laugh at the person because you are stronger and they cant hurt you anymore. | |
