I posted this story on my blog because I wanted to share it with the world, but it is was too long, I decided, to contain in even three posts here (maybe it isn't that long but w/e).

i write lots of short stories and poems, i will try to get one of my short stories up here later but for now heres this.....

never ending adventure/ diary of an angel

i run out the door and fly to the peeks
of the highest mountains in which the gods cant compeat
i grab hold the sun and steer it my way
gliding across the clouds on those cold winter days
i live for adventure thats why i live each day
untill the time my hair turns grey
then suddenly i see my days get shorter
that time when i was living much longer
it has seemed to slip away
and lost me somewhere
so now i lay old and grey waiting for the time when my life is taken away
it is tonight when i can see the light that has forever captivated me
yet to my surprise the sun is waiting there
to give me one last ride through that cold winter air
so i lived my adventure and lived it well
now i sit here and watch the clouds propel
and sometimes through the days i will still recall
when those mountain peeks had seemed so tall.

Had to get this out. Now I'm gonna go laugh at myself.

As some of you know Im currantly working on a book, even if its just for myself. But I thought Id share with you a few excerpts. Please note these are not finished and will be revised at some point.

Part One: In Search Of Adventure

This is a tale of a Squirrel in search of an adventure……

In an oak tree there lived a red squirrel named Sidny, like many red squirrels Sidny enjoyed having a bright coat, bushy tail, tufts on his ears that resembled cotton buds or as some would have it candy floss and of course the essential MP3 player just so he could take up time when burring nuts became a dull and laborious task. This, rather unfortunately, happened quite often. Life, it seemed to many squirrels, enjoyed making them do this as a matter of survival. Although to life this was fair as squirrel’s looked cute and in his opinion needed such monotonous lives so as to stop them becoming too vain. So regretfully it seemed it was Sidny’s lot to find and burry nuts only to forget were they are for when he needed them again in winter but this would make for a rubbish basis for a story. No this story will feature dragons and mythical beasts, daring rescues and sumptuous rewards. Actually it wont feature any of those things, their all under copy write but it will feature a lot of squirrels.

Sidny had, like many squirrels in recent years, became discontent with the life of the average squirrel that ate nuts and listened to Annya’s band Sciurus on his personal music player, that what he wanted more than anything was to go on an adventure. For him that wish was about to be answered because the Gods are very quick these days have nothing better to do with their time as no-one really believes in them any more.

It was a bright sunny morning when Sidny awoke to the sound Walter the Pigeon singing out of key mixed with the annoying rustling of leafs in the tree which he lived. These sounds always seemed to get on his nerves but today it seemed not to bother him at all. Sidny’s first thought was that he must be ill, next he remembered a nice dream he had had about going on an adventure, specifically one involving him. Then he knew he was ill and went back to sleep. Hours passed and Sidny snored rather loudly in a note that would put baritones to shame, so loud was the raucous even Walter gave up trying to compete with it and left to do something more productive with his life, which due to an oversight on his part and a general lack of sleep lead him to fly into the windscreen of a truck on the M25. This really put a kink in his neck and more importantly, at least for Walter, lead to his sudden demise. Much to the relief of every other living creature that had heard him sing.

Darkness swirled all around Sidny in that way only films can depict but which nature never quite got the hang of. slowly he walked though the mists of time, otherwise known as typical British fog. He climbed and climbed until he was looking out over the land at the top of a mountain without a name to see the strangest sight known to squirrels, he saw a God. Not used to seeing the magnificent sight of a God in baggy jeans, with a grey hoody, and far too much fake gold that made him look like a complete moron just made our hero laugh. However this God had a message to give and no amount of laughing from an adolescent squirrel would deter him. His message was simple “Sidny I have come to you in this rather disturbing dream to give you a message.”
“Oh is that a good thing?” replied Sidny.
“That depends on whether you do as your damn well told or not.” answered a rather irritable God, upset by moronic questions and laughing squirrels. As even in dream worlds its still quite real, at least within the bounds of this tale.
“Ok go on” hedged a rather frightened Sidny.
“You are to go on an adventure to the city of Lytton there you will be guided by divine providence to another task this will lead you on the adventure you crave so dearly.” Echoed the voice of the chav like God.
“Well that does not sound too bad” Said Sidny in a slightly more chirpy voice.
“That’s the good news, the bad news is at the end of it you die” chuckled the God.
Looseing all regard for dignity Sidny looked up into the sky bellowing at the author “That’s not fair your not meant to tell them how it ends before the story even gets going.”
“The author would like to point out to Sidny its his story and he can do with it as he pleases.” Answered a new voice rather velvety in tone but ringing with all the authority God seemed to be lacking these days.
“Ok fine Ill go on the damned adventure but you better kill me at the end or the readers will get annoyed with the predictability of not doing what you said you would plus its so overused and clichéd these days.” The chav like God and the author smile sweetly to each other and Sidny drifts back through the fog of time and space into a light sleep.

Ok, so seeing as everyone in here is like a hella good writer and seem to be oozing with such great imagination and creativity, something I seem to not have at all, i'm going to attempt some poetry and story-telling, RIGHT NOW: *ToooooooEeeeeeeeeIiiiiiiiiiiiOoooooooooo*

Poetry: *ahem*
"Roses are red, Violets are blue and...and...yeah."

Story: Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there lived this grumpy, old witch. The end.

Soooo, what do you guys think? Personally, I think I should get like the Nobel Piece Prize for this, but that's just me.

So I'm looking for some help! If anyone remembers my story "Utopia" from the end of last year, I rewrote it for an uncoming writing contest, and I am seriously looking for imput about how to make it better. The Crib

Listen, I am much too old for these toys.
Understand, my legs are cramped in this cradle.
But know, I'm too young not to feel any joy,
the lullabies you sing to me are fatal.
This pacifier won't silence me anymore.
I cannot handle your petty restrictions,
So what are all these safety gates for?
I can't handle your poorly thought out fiction.
Please stop pushing an empty stroller now.
Can't you see that you look like a fool?
Why can't you understand my mind now?
Until then against these restraints I pull.
Though somehow in the end you'll make me strong.
