Fuckin awesome interview! But WTF, like Britney Spears!? HAHAHAHAHA , If I were Sharon, I'd be insulted! Britney wish she had a voice like Sharon's, and in that note, EVERY female singer wishes they had Sharon's voice! So yeah, can't wait for the Album.

To elaborate on what Sharon says about MTV: Faster is "MTV Must See" this week, but that's hardly anything worth proud of, as MTV only plays music videos from midnight until 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

And they played a sample of Sinead. Sounds great! And of In The Middle of the Night and Shot in the Dark.

Here's another interview Roadrunner linked today:
Quote :
Within Temptation singer Sharon den Adel has revealed her delight at how well their ambitious idea for a new concept album, tied in with a comic book series and trio of short-films has been received – especially after the band were told it couldn’t be done. Their fifth studio album, The Unforgiving, will be released next month and is a concept album based on a comic book which will hit shelves at the same time and will make up a special package with the three movies which together make up a story. den Adel tells RockAAA:
“Everyone said it was insanely impossible to do it all in a short space of time but it has turned out so great. We wanted to tell a great story and through the movies, the comic and the soundtrack I think it has turned out really well. “It is a slightly different album to what people will be used to from our previous albums. We felt we had crystallised and finalised our sound on our last record and we needed to do something new to refresh our sound and give us a new style. “We wanted to take down our musical boundaries and we took a lot of inspiration from the 1980s when we were all growing up. We took some 80s flavours from the heavier sounds of Iron Maiden to lighter things like Kim Wylde and Billy Idol too. “It is a conceptual album but not in the way Pink Floyd did in the 1970s but it is a soundtrack to go along with the comic it is based on. “We all read comics when we were growing up and this is again going back to our influences in the 80s when we all read comic strips every day. It was also an idea which came back to us when we watched the X-Men movies in the past few years and it reminded us how much fun comics were. “We have done this for a long time, having started in the late 80s and early 90s and developed our sound. When we released Heart of Everything we felt we had achieved our very clear goals of making soundtrack music with heavy guitars. “We believed we had the made the very best record we could have made so after that we had to ask ourselves what’s the next step? “We needed to look for new influences and reasons to go on but we felt like we had so much left so you are not rid of us yet.”
The first movie was released on the band’s official Facebook page and den Abel concedes social networking is something which will becoming increasingly important to bands.
She added: “Social media is a new way to reach your fans and I think it is becoming more important all the time, especially to new bands who aren’t known well and don’t have a record company.
“The times have changed from when we used to just sell CDs when we started but the industry has changed over the past few years and it is going to change even more again and I think the future will be very different. “I am a little worried about the future for record companies who have to change the way they work but it is a new time and chance to find new ways to be creative which is the best way to stand out as a band. “New bands have to focus on being creative but that can be a good thing and new bands have the chance to make new developments.”
