They'll probably go back to closing with it all the time. It still has that magic.

I heard from some Dutch friends who were at some of these shows where they changed it up that they did it to trick the regulars because apparently they gave the band a look of shock when Ice Queen was played very early in the set. And they always try to beg them not to play Ice Queen anyway because they don't want them to stop. So this was one of those WT is messing with the fans things.

'm still taking pains to make something out of the lyrics of the Demo Version...
As am I. xD
This song is one of my favorites...and a great one to open with at a lot of their THOE tour shows I mean, how many bands do you know of who can walk on stage to a clip of Winston Churchill? Seriously.
Iron Maiden does it.
Anyway about OSH... BS version was amazing... but I liked the Eindenhoven one a teeeeeeeny bit better.

They should've mixed 'em 'Cause I really love it with the choir and orchestra, but the setting was so much cooler at Eindhoven.

It woulda made it just THAT MUCH MORE epic. I wish they had it there. But...there wasn't a lot of room onstage after the choir and orchestra...so I guess it makes sense.

Yeah the performances at Ahoy and Eindhoven both had their own amazing bits. And they were what made them unique.

I just felt like doing this. I don't know if I have the intro correct, I discovered they edited the Churchill speech at some points. Might research the AC3 sometime
Our Solemn Hour - Live Version lyrics
"I speak to you for the first time as Prime Minister in a solemn hour for the life of our country, of our empire" "No officer or man, no brigade or division, which grapples at close quarters with the enemy, wherever encountered, can fail to make a worthy contribution to the general result." "A tremendous battle is raging in France and Flanders." "The enemy, by a remarkable combination of air bombing and heavily armored tanks, have broken through the French defenses, and strong columns of their armored vehicles are ravaging the open country "There is a good evidence to show that practically the whole of the specialized and mechanized forces of the enemy have been already thrown into the battle" "In a solemn hour for the life of our country"
(Sanctus Espiritus! Sanctus Espiritus! Sanctus Espiritus!)
In my darkest hours I could not foresee That the tide could turn so fast to this degree Can’t believe my eyes How can you be so blind? Is the heart of stone, no empathy inside? Time keeps on slipping away and we haven’t learned So if we fail it will be in vain
Sanctus Espiritus, redeem us from our solemn hour Sanctus Espiritus, insanity is all around us Sanctus Espiritus, is this what we deserve, can we break free from chains of never-ending agony?
Are they themselves to blame, the misery, the pain? Didn’t we let go, allowed it, let it grow? If we can’t restrain the beast which dwells inside it will find it’s way somehow, somewhere in time Will we remember all of the suffering Cause if we fail it will be in vain
Sanctus Espiritus, redeem us from our solemn hour Sanctus Espiritus, insanity is all around us Sanctus Espiritus, is this what we deserve, can we break free from chains of never-ending agony?
Sanctus Espiritus Sanctus Espiritus
(Ruud!)
Sanctus Espiritus, redeem us from our solemn hour Sanctus Espiritus, insanity is all around us Sanctus Espiritus, is this what we deserve, can we break free from chains of never-ending agony?
(Sanctus Espiritus) It's all around us (Sanctus Espiritus) It's all around us (Sanctus Espiritus) Is that what we deserve can we break free from chains of never-ending agony?

OK! So I am listening to the demo version of this song right now (from the All I Need single) and it is completely in another language I think. And I don't think it is "Sanctus Espritus" that she is saying either...maybe like "Vinctus Espiritus" or something....Anyone else have this who knows what language it is?
